How To Create Original Images With Midjourney

Here’s how to create ultra realistic images that pass for original content using Midjourney, you’ll create shit like this by the end of this guide.

These images pass for original images, I’ve used them to rank articles on Google, you can see examples of this on WhatGoesWellWith.com.

There’s quite a lot of intricate advice in this post, so read until the end first.

Initial setup

Firstly, you wanna create a Discord server, because this is where you’ll run the bot, and keep all your stuff organized.

Step 1.

Create a Discord Account.

Step 2.

Create a Discord server, full guide here (it takes 2 minutes).

Step 3.

Join the Midjourney Discord channel below

Step 4.

Click the “Member List” and locate “Midjourney Bot”, click on it and “Add to Server” (select your server).

Now you have the bot on your server, you can use it to generate images, and here’s how to do that.

To start writing a prompt, you type /imagine and select the Midjourney option.

Let’s get right into it with a live example, copy and paste this into /imagine.

The ideal prompt will give the objects, a few settings, and aspect ratio.

For example, I want an image of some steaks, on a counter, and I want them to be ultra realistic, and in a vertical ratio, I also want a 85mm lens effect, so..

aged steaks tenderizing on the kitchen counter, ultra realistic, influencer photography, ultra realistic, 85mm photography, canon dslr --ar 2:3

Now this prompt is processing, it might take a few minutes to fully process.

When it’s done, it’ll show you 4 options to pick from, with “U” and “V” buttons below, this is not the final image.

U will “upscale” your image, meaning it will improve the quality of that one image, U1 refers to the first image, U2, second image, etc.

V will create variations of that image.

Once you click on what you want, it’ll show you the final result, and you can click and save that and use it right away.

If you wanna see how I’ve put this into action, check out this site, I’ve used these prompts to create fake recipes and fake experts to discuss my fake recipes.

I used DraftHorse to generate 200+ articles from there, just mass published and added images one by one later.

Now, let’s get into how this prompt stuff works.

The prompt is the text you type to get a result, so naturally, you start by thinking what output you expect to see.

aged steaks tenderizing on the kitchen counter, ultra realistic, 85mm lens --ar 2:3

In this example, “aged steaks on the kitchen counter

I then add some more conditions for it to consider, my first priority is having an ultra realistic output, with some sort of reference to camera/lens.

aged steaks tenderizing on the kitchen counter, ultra realistic, 85mm lens --ar 2:3

The camera/lens part isn’t super necessary, but can add a nice touch to the images sometimes, when it bugs, remove it.

Finally, Aspect Ratios.

The prompt I used ended with a —ar 2:3, this means the output will be vertical, you can do 3:2 for horizontal images (featured images), and 1:3 for banners.

aged steaks tenderizing on the kitchen counter, ultra realistic, influencer photography, ultra realistic, 85mm photography, canon dslr --ar 2:3

—ar 2:3 will give you a vertical result

—ar 3:2 for horizontal images

If you want your image to be square, remove —ar from your prompt.

You can use my prompt to experiment a bit, change up the words and modifiers, but read this next tip before you go.

One thing I regularly do when rewriting blogs, is jacking original images from other blogs, and using Midjourney to spin up new original content.

It’s as simple as poop, but focus, or you might struggle a bit.

Go to the image you want to spin, and right click, copy image.

Now paste this image into Discord, click on it, and copy image address.

.. and use the image as part of your prompt, in this case I told it I wanted a Din Tai Fung Cucumber Salad & traditional sides, gave it my settings and a link to the image, aspect ratio, and gg, it gave me a better image than the original :p

From here, feel free to mess around with all the settings and prompts, I’ve learned over time that the simpler, the better, and it works really well on things that already exist, so with food, there’s so many references, it can’t go wrong.

Now, making images is one thing, but what do you do if you wanna create awesome content that goes with these images?

I’m glad ya asked, because I really do 2 things when it comes to publishing content.

I either bulk publish using apps like DraftHorse, or I use a scraper to gather content from sites using AI - in all cases, I always go over the articles before they’re published, and add 1-2 original images using this Midjourney method.

Also not plugging this in so you can read this other article, but this type of original image/content stuff works really well when building backlinks from Reddit & Quora.

Anyway, hope you found some value in this post, make sure to share it with someone in need, or drop some advice in the comments, always appreciated.
